Earthquake!

Okay, so this is old news now. About 12 hours ago a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit Southern California. I felt it. Well, more accurately, I saw it. I just stood there in shock, watching my mom’s flat screen TV sway front to back, over and over…I grabbed the arm of the couch and briefly thought about heading for the doorway, but it was over. My mom actually was on the phone with her doctors’ office, and the girl told her, “There’s an earthquake.” She repeated it to me, and we were kind of confused as to why she thought that, but then it hit a few seconds later. My dad is in San Diego for the week and he said the high-rise building he was in shook for an entire minute. Which is crazy, because we’re in L.A. county and thus much closer to the epicenter. Anyway, that was my excitement for the day!

An earthquake? Lol I want to say your lucky for getting to experience one, but it could’ve damaged stuff, so I’m glad everyone over there is safe. Those things never happen around here since I live in IL which is like pretty much prairie land.

    Love the layout =]

I felt the earthquake too. It was really short and not very strong. But it was my first earthquake, so after it was over and I realized what it was I was all shaken up LOL

How scary. We don’t get earthquakes in Texas, just hurricanes and tornados. That must have been an interesting experience XD

C: The novelty of earthquakes wears off quickly. :lmao: And BTW thanks!

Mara: Thanks. :) It wasn’t too bad, I’m glad it wasn’t a bigger one, I would have been seriously freaking the hell out.

Laur: The first one’s the worst.
An: I’m way more scared of hurricanes and tornadoes than earthquakes! I was born in Texas and my mom says I was there for Hurricane Alicia when I was a baby, but thankfully I don’t remember it. :)
