“Fat Free” Yoga

I’ve been trying to lose a little weight and get into better shape lately. I’ve been doing yoga and exercising on the treadmill and elliptical, cooking healthier meals, and I’m already feeling better and lost a few pounds (I’ve only been at this a few weeks!) I’m really stoked because I have hypothyroidism which makes it more difficult to lose weight than it used to be for me.

Anyway, I got bored of my DVDs and decided to get a couple new ones. One of them was Fat Free Yoga. Looking past the silly title, I felt like it was a good choice due to having 126 reviews with a 5 star rating. I received the DVD and attempted to watch it today. This is the one of the funniest, stupidest things I have ever seen! She pants like a dog with her tongue stuck out, chants, and is basically smirking the entire time looking like she is trying not to laugh because even she knows how stupid it is!

I went back to the product page to see if there were really some negative reviews that I overlooked, and discovered on the forum that the negative reviews are promptly removed! Not just for this DVD, but for all the Ana Brett & Ravi Singh DVDs. What a scam. I feel like I’ve been duped.

Poo. I tried to watch the video, but it’s no longer available. It’s a shame you were scammed that way. It’s amazing the things people will try to get away with.

I couldn’t even finish the whole two and a half video. The girl announcing all of this sounds as if that’s her attempt at being sultry. Disturbing much.

Oh goodness, that was one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen. Hopefully other people won’t be cheated as well.

I also have this video, and started to do it diligently (almost all of it, except for the final emotional meditation) for the past three weeks (maybe 3-4 times a week). The weight is dropping off with no change in diet, and I’m feeling an unbelievable sense of calm in the face of difficult times. In fact I have two of Ravi’s books, and doing the kriyas in them began an amazing journey of emotional (and now, apparently physical) healing for me starting last summer. I also have a number of Ravi and Ana’s videos, and they are marvelous, though this is the one I’ve done the most intensely so far and the one that’s shown me the best results. I also take a live Kundalini Yoga class locally. Give Kundalini Yoga a chance; it’s truly life changing.

one more thing: if you’re going to try this video for weight loss (or any kundalini yoga kriya for that matter), remember to keep your eyes focusing on the brow/third eye point while they’re closed. Do this throughout the exercises; if you catch yourself forgetting, return to it. This activates the pituitary and makes the exercises work. I’m not sure the weight loss (and other extremely profound emotional changes I’ve seen) would occur without this.

I’m glad it’s working for you, but I’m just a bit too skeptical to try it. It seems..silly to me, and I feel too silly doing it. Too bad you already have this one, because I’d give it to you! I guess it’s Ebay for this.
